Schoharie Promotional Association

Welcoming new businesses
Promotional is committed to attracting new businesses by promoting activities in the village and town that will bring people to our area. Each new business receives a floral gift and a free year’s membership to Schoharie Promotional. Promotional encourages merchants to join our organization and welcomes their participation.

Benches on Main Street In 2009, after the completion of the village sidewalk rehabilitation and new streetlamp project, Schoharie Promotional purchased two new benches which have been placed on Main Street. In May of 1990, six wooden trash can covers were completed, led by President Jim Getman. These wooden enclosures have served on Main Street for the last 20 years. Flower Barrels on Main Street It has been a long standing tradition to plant flowers in barrels on Main Street. Many thanks to Schoharie Valley Farms for their generous donation of plants for our barrels.
The Village Clock After years of planning and saving, the Promotional Association purchased and dedicated the village clock on October 21, 2007. With a double face and the Village of Schoharie inscription and incorporation date, the clock stands proudly in front of the county courthouse. Thanks to Guernsey’s Schoharie Nurseries for the landscaping around the clock.
